I have never thought of my Teaching Philosophy or at least put a term to the way I wanted to teach. I had to research what it meant only to realize I have always had one.
I believe that every young adult benefits from learning how they want to be taught and each one deserves to be given the chance to express it. Every classroom is a small community that deserves to be respected and given access to resources that help them prosper. The teacher is a guide, not a dictator. Every child should be able to take control of their education in order for them to understand its importance but also to see how when you can take control of your education you do not have to force yourself to follow societal expectations. I hope to be able to help young adults grow, learn, and understand that gaining an education does not have to be a painful process.
